Explore #4 of the 3 Eurovirgins and a Europro tour
After only a few precious hours of sleep our alarms were sounding at silly o’clock for day two of our Belgium exploring weekender. Despite the early hour I found it surprisingly easy to get up, thanks to my excited anticipation of what we had planned for the day, involving no fewer than 6 different sites. 🙂
First up was this beautiful old abandoned church. When it closed the bodies buried under the centre of the church were removed and reburied elsewhere – however not all made it fully intact, and a few human bones still remain within the site! Access was also an interesting affair, and required the 4 of us to walk straight through the grounds of a large police station with our camera bags and tripods clearly visible. Luckily our deliberately early start paid dividends, and we made our entrance without incident.
On with the photos…

Before long it was time to run the gauntlet back through the grounds of the police station and make our quick getaway for a spot of breakfast and our next target: a vast decommissioned power station – report coming very soon!
As always, thanks for looking, and please sign up to follow this blog if you haven’t already done so.
Cheers

Some great exploration images – and I agree…starting early always does the trick 🙂
