Explore #5 of the ‘Love Bears’ Tour
After leaving Tbilisi, we drove out into the Georgian countryside to hunt down some possible leads from our research. Our mission was to visit various small villages to try and find abandoned ‘Houses of Culture’ – very grand village halls / cultural centres which formed the hubs for community gatherings during Soviet times. Our search was fairly successful, and my reports of those are coming up right after this one…
Abandoned School, somewhere in rural Georgia
On our way, we stumbled across this abandoned school, which I have absolutely no information about whatsoever, so will crack straight on with the photos…
World War 2 memorial
We also visited this WW2 memorial, which now sits somewhat neglected on top of a hill in rural Georgia. I thought I’d add my pictures to this report as a little bonus…
Thanks for visiting.

Great pictures as always Adam. Really haunting seeing those pictures hanging up in the memorial – quite an amazing find.
